I have been running some Koplin grips on the rear of my wheeler for my auger but kicked one off the other night swinging my leg around avoiding my little boy who wanted to go out for a ride. Thinking of getting a Digger auger mount for the front and investing in a Monster Box for the rear. Previously I had strapped my Otter rod case to the front rack, do most guys just throw the rod box in the sled? Just curious to get some new ideas to really rig up my wheeler for fishing.

After using the Digger mount and Monster box with rod case for about 4 years now, I would say they are almost a must in my opinion. If you already have the otter rod case, they now sell the slide-on piece separately to convert it to fit on the monster box. I love how i can just drive on the trailer and leave everything in the monster box, much less loading and unloading, just slide off the rod case and go.

Digger auger carrier is great if you’re running a traditional auger. They don’t fit to well with the k-drill or new Lite Flite augers. I am running the metal “Pro” Kolpin grips on the front rack and a Monster box on the back. No complaints. Used the Pro Kolpin grips on my SxS for a season too and no issues.

My rig from a couple years ago. Have made a few changes since but remains similar. Haven’t yet had a chance to get it rigged for ice this season. Hopefully I can have new pics before the ice thaws…..

Has a Digger Carrier on the front.
The rear box is a diamond plate aluminum ATV box I found on Ebay. Was wanting a Monster Box but ran across this for $50 shipped to my door. Came from a overstock clearance house that had a dozen of them at the time, regret not buying more to try and resell. Works awesome and probably has more room than a Monster Box.

@monticatgeek- any details on that raised rack you built for the back of your ATV? Been contemplating doing something similar myself. TIA.

so how I built that was like this : first part is a 1 1/4 to 2 inch adapter that hooks into the receiver on the machine, then the first vertical piece is a 2 to 1 1/4 inch reduce (cut to like 8 1/2 inches) (if I re built this it would just be a 2 inch tube and not a reducer), then on the top of that was another 2 to 1 1/4 inch reducer (cut to 5 1/2 inches), then the tube coming out of that is a 1 1/4 tube (11 inches)to a vertical 1 1/4 tube (14 inches) to the 1 1/4 tube that is the main part of the rack. the rest of the rack is just 1 1/4 angle iron and flat stock cut to fit the bottom of the Clam Transport tub I used for this project. will be building another similar one come spring so I can haul my Legend XL Thermal around next season. didn’t have time to this year and I don’t feel like trying to cut the parts and weld it all up in the cold so I will wait until spring time.

Thinking I will be going with the Digger mount in the front and Monster box in the rear. Also just ordered a small LED light bar for the front of my wheeler also.

Where did everyone get their monster box from? I think the closest place to me that sells them is Runnings, never really shopped there though, do they have coupons like Fleet Farm does at times with like 50 bucks off a 250 dollar purchase or anything like that? Or any leads on somewhere else to check?

Thanks everyone, you guys have some great looking machines. Hoping to get mine on that level shortly!

Quite the configuration you came up with! Appreciate the notes. Going to save that and see if I can ply my buddy that welds with enough beer to maybe build me something similar. mrgreen

Best I could find and can still find. I opened a “trial” account to order it and then closed my account within 30 days. $252 to my door.

Awesome, saw that place, and just never had heard of them so was a little aprehensive. Looks like I will be placing an order. Thanks!

Thanks Jamin, signed up for the trial and paid a couple bucks extra for shipping to get here Friday. Still less than $270 with tax and shipping. Appreciate the feedback everyone!

I like the setup. Gotta ask why you take the windshield off though? Do you haul it facing backwards?

no I don’t haul it facing backwards. it was either printed on the box the windshield came in or was on the Polaris website saying to remove it before hauling on a trailer. did try it to see what happens and the wind pushed it back in such a way it that could wreck it. I just don’t want to mess it up since the windshields are $170.00 from Polaris. it is funny thou since the wheeler can do 50mph and it is fine but when I did 55mph with the wheeler on the trailer it folded the windshield back up against the handle bars. didn’t hurt it luckily but don’t want to press my luck so I just take it off when hauling.

How many are using chains, at least on the rear, on ATV/SxS tires?

I’ve never taken mine off. Machine only gets used in the winter. Quite a difference with good chains.

I purchased a Cfmoto 800XC and love it so far. Built like a CanAm but much less. Got a set of Casmo tracks. I still
Have to get some luggage racked for it.

Well with everyones help, I have now finished up my ATV setup. Otter Monster box on the back, Digger up front and a little 8″ LED light bar for some extra light on the lake at night. Cannot wait to get it out on the ice and try it out.
