Weaver in Maple Grove is close as of tonight. Not quite enough for Ripley to get a swim in, though.

Big stone is one of my options for this weekend. Bigstone/traverse or red wing…
Forest lake 1 is open, 2 and 3 still have some ice as of last night.
Got the boat out today on Bald Eagle. Ice free. Man did it feel good!
Man did it feel good!
Oh man, that looks great. Might have to take a paddle this weekend.

Good question. The couple places I was planning on getting it are sold out and so is their distributor so it might be a few months. My buddy ordered a terrova in Feb and they told him May.
And no EPG, no bass. MN still won’t let me catch them before opener and even though I tossed a beetle spin around for a few minutes no luck……
Thursday morning Gray’s and Wayzata were pretty dark with ice pulling away from the shore along 101.

Shocking…not. Fishing gear sold out, no surprise! Guess the maxxum will have to do until then.
Yeah I wasn’t shocked at all. We’ll see what happens. I can make do until I find one at the price I want.

What kind of price were you finding on the Ultrex?
Ended the season with a 4″ perch, 8″ rock bass and a 10″ crappie.
Some small lakes in the Grantsburg area were open this weekend. Moose lake area was showing some ice separating from shore. A little further north (hwy 210) small lakes were just getting ready to separate from shore.

I have a connection where I can get it at cost. But like I said, the distributor my connection goes through is totally out. Might have to bite the bullet and buy somewhere else if I can find one.
Faribault lakes were either open or the wind piled up all the remaining ice up on the south shores and turned it to slush. After today’s wind and warmth – I think they will all be open.
looks like after today……. most the lakes will be making ice again for a few days!!!!!
After the morning winds everything is open in my area.
I was just thinking this wind has to be opening up a ton of lakes, and probably pushing ice up a bunch of places too.

White Bear, Bald Eagle, Forest were all open Saturday minus the main lake on White Bear. That south wind made short work of it this morning.
there is still some ice on the horseshoe chain but man did it take a beating since yesterday.
even saw 2 guys fishing from shore!!!!!
Putting gas in my boat near Excelsior early afternoon and a guy at the station said my timing was right since Minnetonka just opened up. THIS IS UNOFFICIAL. A quick google did not find anything. Maybe tomorrow I’ll take a drive around several bays.
