Ringo near Willmar opened up. I live near Darwin most the lakes are very dark and receding this rain I bet a lot may open this weekend. Been on the chain of lakes in Cold Spring cold day though.

A few of the smaller lakes in my area have opened up about half way. A good wind paired with the upcoming rain should give us a chance to get the boats out soon.
Weaver and Rice in Maple Grove are looking really dark. Didn’t catch a glimpse of Fish.
Sloughs in the area are wide open. Howard is close, ice has pulled from shore and the sheet is moving. Guessing it’ll be open by the weekend.
St Croix from Stillwater to Afton really opened up.
Wide open from afton to prescott.
Commercials already have the nets full by the beach on MN Side and awaiting trucks in Prescott to load out. I swear they don’t miss ice out by an hour each year.

Are they netting carp?

Well, they net everything, but only sell the carp
Clear in forest lake is wide open. Im sure most lakes will be open after this rain
the sauk river on the horseshoe chain is wide open, still alot of ice cover on the non current areas but ice looks pretty bad. noone i could see has been on it, this was yesterday afternoon.
up in itasca county, i ve been told there where wheelers out on sand lake. baserd on the 2 webcams up there, looks like noones going out and the ice is definetly getting darker.
You can track it here. Its not a live update because it relies primarily on volunteer lake shore residents and associations, but is usually updated within 48 hours.

I dont think Mike’s boat ever gets to dry.
Faribault area lakes were VERY close yesterday, a few smaller ones were 1/3 to 1/2 open. By this weekend I bet most in that area are open, especially with this rain.

Just a shake down cruise for the small jon boat before heading to the Rainy this weekend.
Nice, ok thought nobody fished it. Since we are from the same area, Netta looked mostly open also, small sheet as of two days ago. Did no look at the launch or lack there of though.
Just got up to Roosie and I’m officially declaring the 20-21 hard water season over.

i was wondering how long that would take, when i went up over the march 13th weekend the channel on the hwy 6 bridge has some open water.
Even more now.
Saw a couple hooded meanders swimming in there.
