I don’t know what to do with Suter. He’s been single handedly for about 5 goals this playoffs due to boneheaded plays. I’d rather see Dumba in his place right now. And Dumba hasn’t looked good at all.

So, Dumba scores and Suter assists.

Maybe I should trash talk Parise.

Trash talk the whole team. They are going to have to do some serious regrouping in Saint paul.

Man, this is very frustrating to watch. What’s up with Suter?!I’ll stand by what I said a couple weeks ago, I wanted to go against Nashville. Something about playing Chicago. …

it’s simple, if you make mistakes against the Blackhawks, they will score more often than not…We made some brutal bonehead mistakes and paid for them…Suter has not been himself the past 4 or 5 games, I suspect we’ll find out after the playoffs he’s been playing hurt…last night he was a liability…

All they need to do is hold serve at home and stop shooting their own feet off in Chicago…

I was shocked when they let the play go on after Crawford got dinged. He was obviously wobbly after that.

I wonder if he has gone through the protocol now after the game and been cleared?

I’d love to see us be up late in the next game and let Stewart go after Oduya.

How about that call on vanek. So these are the best refs? A.) They missed vanek being hit into Crawford…even though the play is right there. B.) Like an amatuer he made the call based on Crawfords reaction…He sees Crawford react, so Vanek must have done something wrong, right? C.) No retaliatory roughing penalty on Crawford? Isn’t that what they always say, the refs seldom see the instigation but always catch and call the retaliation?

The other 2 that tick me off, but I am a little more forgiving, because they would be tough to call in real time. Koivu was slough footed by Sharp milliseconds before he tripped him.

Oduya. I originally thought it was a good no call because he got the puck. But now I see that he tackled him.

Not blaming the refs, because if the calls went the other way, we’d still have lost. But what else is there to bring up when your team stinks it up .

Next year Yeo needs to pull Suter from the Powerplay, he’s been overplayed and it’s starting to show with obvious mistakes… Plus he honestly brings NOTHING to the powerplay, he can’t get the puck to the net and he’s way to predictable on the breakout.

I understand why he was on the PP the last 2 years due to lack of options, but Dumba & Scandella have emerged as better options moving forward. The reduced minutes will only help his game…He’ll just have to eat some ego and let it go…

I was also Pug. I’ve seen many instances where a player is required to leave the ice and get checked. Would’ve been nice to see Darling come in cold even if only for a short time.

If anyone doesn’t have cable like me my future son in law turned me on to a site that streams the games. Then if you have a smart tv just run a HDMI cord from the tv to your laptop.

I’d also like to take Pommer off the point on the PP. I don’t mind having Suter there because he is pretty good at quarterbacking the PP. And I know teams like having a forward on D because you want the off D (not the “QB”) to be able to slip down past the circles…oh look I am talking myself out of my original thought. I guess I don’t mind how that PP unit is set up. In order to get a Dumba or Scandella in there, you’d have to remove Suter. Suter is the most self assured and in control defenseman we got. I know he didn’t show it last night, but I think he has to be on the #PP.

Here’s my issue and it isn’t just the Wild that does this. I cannot stand how lackadaisical PP units get defending their own zone. I see it so much that if a guy gets sloppy and the PK forechecks aggressively it at best takes the wind out of the sails or eats time and at worst leads to shorthanded goals an chances. I get it that guys get tired on the PP being out there at an extended amount of time, but I’d like them to display the same urgency to control the puck and get it back up ice.

If we don’t win both home game we are done. There is no way we can go back to Chicago down 3-1 and pull it off. I don’t want to think that way but that’s how it is.

Anybody got tickets to the game tonight? Should be an epic atmosphere I’d think. I really don’t have a horse in this race (I always rooted for the Ducks as a kid thanks to the mighty ducks movies) I just enjoy watching playoff hockey, I’ll be planted in front of a tv watching this one. On another relevant note Anaheim looks like an absolute buzz-saw right now. Woe unto the team that comes out of this series if the Ducks keep playing like they are.

Pug, you forgot the ankle tackle on Stewart on his break away…. where he had to leave the game for awhile because he was tripped 6 feet from the boards going full speed flame

Huh, I mentioned that a couple posts up in the second to last paragraph.

Stewart out , Schroeder in. Time for the young guns Nino, Coyle, Schroeder and Haula to step up. I think Fontaine is still out?

Tough to call in real timE and the rule is it isn’t tripping if you touch the puck.

Need to blow them out and dominate the next game and get some momentum. Had they played like this the first 2 games it might be 2-1 and not seem to be such a daunting task. We shall See. This team tends to surprise me and be resiliant. I’m not giving up on them.

I didn’t see anything this gam that would show us anything has changed. If they don’t do something different they are toast.

    I admire your loyalty Pug…
If they were to run the table it would certainly be one helluva feet.
Chicago seemingly owns them, I was dreading this match up.
I don’t think Stewart will ever play in a Wild sweater again.
It did sound very quiet at times given the magnitude of the game. Just keep on building.

I was at the game tonight, it was a tough one. I’ve never seen a team (hawks) play with the puck a foot or two off the ice as much as this team does. Kane looks like he’s playing lacross at times. people in the X were moaning and groaning about shots not being taken. trust me when I tell you, there was no place to shoot. the hawks fill lanes, passing and shooting, better than most teams. I listen to the radio and hear fans say “we have to match their speed and play so and so….” the hawks come in and say, we’re gonna play our game with our guys, stop us if you can. some day the wild will be that team, right now, they’re not.

The hawks definitely showed they aren’t just an offensive team. They had a game plan that worked like a charm. Keep it simple, play a tight defense. That works when you score first. The wild did manage chances that they just weren’t able to bury.

4 in a row seems impossible…. but Chicago just won 3 in a row and the 4th seems inevitable… they play em all for a reason smash
