…don’t think they could have done much better at that point of the season. Aquisition wise.

Noway. I can’t imagine what else was out there, but Dubnyk was well worth the 3rd rounder. I think Fletch really thinks these gambles through (along with the scouts) or he’s gotten extremely lucky twice. Dubnyk had turned his game around, but it was apparently masked by the Coyotes ineptness.

I wish I had started Holtby over Miller. Could have had a double shutout night for my fantasy team.

The question is, how do we dump Backstrom, assuming Dubnyk stays strong to the end of the year…unless he uses this to land a nice deal somewhere else.

What a time to be alive.

Dubnyk is 6-1 since coming to the Wild with 1.48 GAA and a .945% save percentage. Incredible. I looked at some other stats, it seems like for most of his career he has been a good goalie masked by awful teams (ie Edmonton). What a find for Fletch.

This is where it has to start for the Wild. Good, aggressive yet smart hockey. Keep it up boys.

From all the reports I heard, Sean Burke righted his game after it seemed to be coming off the tracks last year. His game is so “quiet” out there and that’s the goal tending I like. Always in position and minimizing moves.

The other similarity with Bryzgalov is both are calming influences in the locker room, well liked, just what the locker room with failing confidence needed.

Kind of odd huh? Goalies are generally regarded as headcases. These 2 guys come in and refresh the locker room.

Looks like Feb is a make or break month for the Wild. They have 8 upcoming games against teams either on the playoff bubble or trying to get on the playoff bubble. 3 additional games against bottom feeeders (EDM & CAR).

Good game last night but the hawks seemed dazed and confused. The Wild shelled them and the usual tight Blackhawk play wasn’t there.

Pug the answer to what can the wild do with Backs is not much. He cant be sent down and nobodys going to claim him off waivers. Luckily this is th e last year of his contract.

Good test tonight. Playing a team you owned early in the year after a long rest.

Wild now flogging the dirtbag Canucks. Piling on 2 goals in 2 minutes.

What a POS team the Canucks are. 3 high hits in 1 period and of course no calls.

Cmon Wild. Run up the score. Miller now riding the pine.

Wow, this really a nice run they have going on!

Sure hope Zucker isn’t out long.
I know it’s still a long shot but it sure would be nice to somehow someway slide into a playoff spot.

This sure gets the hindsight going, what if we had Doobers earlier.

The hit on Zucker wasn’t cheap. Not sure about Carters, but I assume it wasn’t because no one reacted to it.

You do not try blocking a shot that’s off the ice with your blade. Nino! Tired play.

POMMER with the answer! Good game, all things considered.

A fudge. Earlier in the year they would have lost handily. Gutty point in my opinion.

At the game tonight with Mrs Grouse cause nothing says love like a Wild game.

Vanek has 2 goals already and 10 still left in first.

I am also the game and it is now 3 to 1. Dubnyk let one right the end of the first period. He also had two go off the post in the first period.

Check that…now 4 to 1. Went off the defensemans stick.

Tough to blame Dub for 1 of the goals. Wild now 5-3 in the third.

I’d have to say that tonight is one of those cliche must win games. 4 point game especially with the current point system.
