Gutty. So we get at least a point. Had the wings scored at the end, that surely would have been the dagger.
January 21, 2015 at 4:26 pm #1500719I think the Cooke experiment is over. I’m not sure his contract situation but…
mojogunterPosts: 3301January 21, 2015 at 7:13 pm #1500817I was never a Cooke fan, but he is very good as checking shut down guy, and on the PK. Not everyone is expected to score 50 pts

January 22, 2015 at 5:34 am #1500929With Cooke back, Brodziak’s game seems to have picked up. That line with Fontaine is a pretty decent checking line. I also like that they moved Carter up with Coyle and Nino. Coyle has looked pretty good as of late. It should be interesting to see what happens when Granlund is back after the break. Fontaine I assume will be out.
Haula and Fontaine seem to be suffering through the sophomore slump. Sure would be nice to see those guys pick it up this second half and into next season. Its just as important to see those guys emerge into their roles as it is the other prospects.
January 27, 2015 at 8:19 pm #1503467So playing against the most under achieving craptastic team in the NHL tonight, to the Wild give me false hope an feed my delusions of a playoff run. Or do they poop the bed and remind me that I have better things to do, especially when a West Coast game stars at 9:30 on the East cost?
January 27, 2015 at 8:27 pm #1503469No excuses tonight, Everyone rested up, everyone back in the line up. We will see how things shake out. Walz still thinks they can make the playoffs. I hope so, but some teams have to crash like we did, and we have to go on one he!! of a win streak.
Wallster ><((((>January 27, 2015 at 9:03 pm #1503480Oilers may suck, but the announcers are good. Straight up, non biased, even keel commentary.
Dan Canadian TV means no Fricking commercials. “Well be right back” on the screen with obnoxious music.
January 28, 2015 at 11:51 am #1503687I’ve heard much talk regarding Coyle’s goal but haven’t seen it.
Did it live up to all the hype? I’m a big Coyle fan.January 28, 2015 at 12:31 pm #1503722Belletaine, if you want to watch it, here’s the link:

It’s at about 2:40 of the video.
When I saw it last night at full speed, I thought at first it was a mistake and the puck hit the outside of the net and the goal judge got it wrong. When it was clear it was a goal, I thought he somehow flicked the puck backwards and banked it off the goaltender and in. The stickwork stuff-in was so quick in was invisible in real time. The speed of the warp-in is just terrific.
Dubnek seems to be reasonably solid although he had a puck-handling nightmare in the third that almost cost the Wild the game. Better be careful there big fella. Remember, goalies handling the puck = only bad things can happen.
Good to get a win, but the overall picture was not good for me. The Wild were sluggish, disorganized, and they seem to be back to the anemic goal production that plagued them last year.
Yeo’s answer seems to be “more of the same Yeo system” and things will somehow get better.
It will surprise no one when I say, that Yeo, still, must go.
Grouse
January 28, 2015 at 12:37 pm #1503731Watching it live you had to ask yourself, what just happened? Did he bank it off someone? Did I miss something? It was a sweet goal.
I think he’s finally breaking out of the sophomore slump. I didn’t like his game early in the year, but since sometime in December he’s reminding me again of John Leclaire.
I wish Koivu would pull that Forsberg move out more often.
January 28, 2015 at 4:59 pm #1503912Thanks Grouse,Wow! That was pretty Darn nice.
Keep it up Chuck!
I saw an overhead clip also, that really put it in perspective.January 29, 2015 at 8:31 pm #1504564Canadian announcers are so much better than American announcers. It’s not even close. The game is so much more enjoyable listening to these guys and the Oilers announcers.
January 29, 2015 at 8:48 pm #1504574I must confess I am watching ‘rasslin instead. Much more predictable product.
January 29, 2015 at 10:24 pm #1504610Up 1 in the 3rd and you give up to breakaways?
Thank God for Doobs. Fletcher is good! 2 years in a row he lands a goalie when we desperately need one.
acafisherman19Posts: 105February 1, 2015 at 6:20 pm #1505805Wild looked a little shaky at the end of the game, they looked like they were tring to play defense exclusively. Like the hustle at the end by Zucker, both in the diving clearing attempt and the empty netter. Carter had good energy too. Things may be looking up!
February 1, 2015 at 9:57 pm #1505864Déjà vu. The only difference between this year and last is we had goaltending but they kept getting hurt.
February 3, 2015 at 5:05 pm #1506698Excited for the game tonight! Sure would be nice to get two points out of it. I wanna see Kane get hassled.
February 3, 2015 at 5:35 pm #1506707It sure would be nice to see someone knock Kane on his a$$ a couple times. I don’t understand why no one hits him. Hit him a few time and he will be scared. Also just watch for him to circle away from the play and move right back into the play. Just dont leave him alone. No cooke, so someones got to step up the hitting.

Wallster ><((((>Prob for a similar reason nobody knocked Gretzky on his ass.
February 3, 2015 at 7:49 pm #1506750Great jump to the start of the game. Now if they can just keep it up for two more periods. Who is the commentator that cant get anyones names right. Its like he just says whoevers name comes to mind. Hes horrible. This really isn’t a NBC game its a CSN and it sucks.
Wallster ><((((>February 3, 2015 at 8:20 pm #1506755I’m at the game with forum member KWP. Wild lead 2 -0. Go wild.
February 3, 2015 at 8:46 pm #1506762Get the crowd Jacked Up in the third. That building should be insain right now. Did Nordy loose his drum??? I haven’t heard him since the start of the game.
Wallster ><((((>February 3, 2015 at 8:54 pm #1506765The similarities between this season and last are eerie.
We were just saying that here at home.
I like Doobers, don’t think they could have done much better at that point of the season. Aquisition wise.
February 3, 2015 at 9:29 pm #1506779Crawford. Crawford. Crawford.
