This weather has got me feeling grumpy and ive been a thorn in the side bickering about dumb sports junk all day long so lets change that around! Its been a while since ive caught a big fish. Anyone care to post some pictures of recent catches?!! Big or small id love to see some pictures to get me riled up for opener just around the corner! Maybe LenH has some new pictures he can put up. His photos always provide a soothing joy.

Oh how I wish I could post the picture. I caught a 13 lbs. Laker last weekend but a little miscommunication between me and the net man resulted in a released fish before any pics were taken. It sure felt good anyway. We were fishing in shallow water so it was the old, “we have a snag” story until it started moving. LOL!

bigpikePosts: 6259April 26, 2017 at 7:38 pm #1690865I caught a 33# laker about 15 years ago, that fish was incredible and I kept it because I never caught a fish like that and the story behind it. That fish graces my wall. The fish pictured was caught 3 years ago with my wife doing the net work (yes I hollered at her during the process because I didn’t want to lose it, she did great LOL) This fish was 40# and there was no thought of keeping this beast of the deep. It was so cool to hold it. I had to stradle it against my body because I couldnt hold it up otherwise. Both fish are Lake Nipigon fish. A true trophy fishery for many species.

April 26, 2017 at 10:31 pm #1690892First lake I stopped at on Saturday gave up 13 eating size gills.
Lot’s of little guys to pic through but it sure was a good feeling to feel the tug on the fly rod again!Bunch of large mouth as well. Largest maybe with a fisherman’s scale topped out at 1/2 pound but fun non the less.
Tried a few other lakes but only found crappie patches at one other lake.
It was a great four days seeing old friends, cemeteries, carp moving up stream, ducks and coot working their way North, new roads, buildings gone and new ones up.

April 26, 2017 at 11:46 pm #1690905Beat my PB river walleye twice in one day on pool 4 a few weeks ago. It’s been 5 years in the making fishing pool 4. First walleye was 25 1/2 inches 7 Lbs. Second walleye was 28 1/2 inches and went 11.5 Lbs. Lots of time on the water and cold finger was well worth the reward. Now my quest for a new PB as started. Both fish released to be caught again.

April 27, 2017 at 7:51 am #1690945Here’s a few from the past week. My daughter visited during her spring break; we didn’t fish much, but when we did we kept it fun. Split shot and Crawler; I’d bet she reeled in more than 150 fish that week. Heck, we had one hour where I unhooked over 40 sheephead.
From the Des Moines river in SW MN to the Sippi on pool 3.
Cats, Sheep, Sucker, Eyes, Perch, QuillBack, Mooneye, Bullheads, etc etc.Attachments:
April 27, 2017 at 7:56 am #1690952Now I have a bridge net for the next visit.
Should be better than running down the bridge to net fish, constantly!Attachments:

Your title includes what appears to be an English-language “contraction” for “let us.” Thus it should read “Let’s Change Those Frowns Upside Down!”
