Length on Trailer MX2025 versus WX2060 (planning garage space)

Skeeter website specifies length on Trailer (with Swing-Away Tongue) for WX2060 to be 23’ 6.5” and for the MX2025 to be 24’4”.

Is this the length from the back of the motor skeg when trimmed down to the bow of the boat, to the tip of the trolling motor, or the furthest forward part of the trailer tongue when swung back if this is further forward than the boat itself? If it is to the front of the trolling motor, what would the “length on trailer” be to the bow of the boat / furthest forward portion of trailer whichever applicable?

Another question comes to mind: Since the WX2060 is a longer boat than the MX2025, why is the length on trailer of the MX2025 so much longer than the WX2060?

Skeeter’s measurements are with the motor trimmed up a bit (how you normally tow it)

When I was at SBC a MX2025 measured around 22′ with the motor trimmed fully down, my MX1825 is about 20′ in my garage.

I can’t speak for the WX2060, but I would imagine it was measured the same way.

Sadness on that 30’comment as I left behind my 32’x40′ “toy” garage a year ago, and family is now in a temporary home rental with a standard single car garage door to get my boat through. Depth of my garage is exactly 23′. I didn’t know the “length on trailer” was with motor trimmed up as described above… that info helps. Looks like either boat would fit in my garage. On the good side, the width either boat on trailer is a whopping 2″ less than my current boat… a situation where every inch is a blessing. Any info on the WX2060, or total length to the bow of boat versus tip of stowed trolling motor questions anyone?

SBC installs retractable trolling motor mounts on their Skeeters, so it doesn’t stick out at all when retracted.

I’m sure Dean, Eric or Tony can get you the WX2060 length when they’re not helping customers..

Don’t forget to measure the height. The WX series is a higher boat than the MX.

I took a measurement of boat boats in our showroom, both models are less than the 23′ mark with the tongue folder and motor trimmed all the way down. You maybe able to gain a few inches if you turn the motor to either side as well. Windshield height may become an issue if you have a 7′ garage door depending on the how the driveway meets the cement in the garage, any rise in the garage floor with a 7′ door maybe a issue. Max boat height on trailer is 84″.
