Read through about every report I could for the upcoming weekend and being a Leech virgin, and ice newb in general, I am curious as to what the slush is, and how it is currently. Is it something every lake gets during the winter or specifically Leech for some reason?
No slush out here. I think it happens when we get a lot of snow on the ice but we do not have a lot on the ice right now. Might be some slush over in Walker bay but I know out here on the main basin we do not have any slush.
Most of the slush I have seen is only a few inches deep. It’s worse on some of the smaller lakes. Later in the week if temps get in the mid-upper 30’s there will probably be a bit more.
