We booked out fall trip to Leech again this year staying at Rocky Point Resort at the end of Sept.

If anyone wants to join us (IDO take over?), the place is basically empty this time of year and cabins are under $100/night.

We will be up tehre at the same time and I am shopping resorts now. We plan to fish eaters during the day and pull cranks at night for some larger fish. This is my first fall Leech Lake trip under the full moon (typically fish Mille Lacs).

What is typically better the main lake or Walker bay better for the night crankbait bite?

What is the link to the Rocky Point Resort? I am not finding it on google.

DOH, Big Rock Resort. My dad likes if for the private marina, but it is a bit of a haul up to the main part of the lake. At least you can hug the west shore line and get up to the big part of the lake if the wind is blowing. Plus he has a Skeeter, so 2-3′ waves are still OK.

We usually rip job shallow at night and do well on mid lake points. This will be our third year on the lake and haven’t been into Walker Bay yet.

I’ve always fished the main lake at night on Leech. Usually either of the north arms. That early in the fall they will likely be relating to shallow weeds and chasing perch.

I actually am getting to Leech on the 30th. Staying at Northland Lodge which is somewhat close to bigrock. Good luck and leave some for me )

    Will do!

We are up to 5 people and 2 boats so far. Hopefully we can find some good patterns.
