Me and the significant other and another couple want to take a day/night trip this coming winter up to Leech.

The ladies don’t want to spend the night on the ice, so looking for a 2 BR cabin on shore and then renting an ice house for the day/evening.

Just having a hard time finding a place online that would accommodate this. Suppose I could call, but wondering if anyone has any advice or recommendations.

Give them a call, there a plenty other resorts that can help also but that one is probably best for the ladies.

Lots of lodging options around the lake. I’d also contact Phil Bauerly at Outright Angling if you want to catch fish. Leech isn’t very conducive to setting up in one spot and doing real well, but if you stay on the move you can have some great fishing. He guides by snowmobile and portables.

We are doing the same trip in January. Rented a cabin in Walker and then also an ice house. Should be a good time.

Can I ask who you booked with?

Found an Air bnb not far from the lake. Plan on driving out to the house from there in a pickup or ranger depending on the ice conditions.

Renting a sleeper shack on Leech early January to fish with my son and grandson. Really looking forward to spending some guy time with them. I will get a fishing update from the lodge before we go, but any advice on fishing tactics, baits and lures including minnow suggestions would be helpful. We will be mainly targeting walleye and perch out of the sleeper, but also interested in any other fishing possibilities like crappie or northern too.
