I am not sure there is anyone that really builds a road system out there like Mille Lacs, Red or LOW.

Trappers landing resort on the south end of leech has a great ice road just like low and Mille lacs roads. Others that have roads pine pt resort.. Horseshoe bay also..

I would for sure use Horseshoe bay lodge. They make a ton of roads to great areas.

Several up there do a good job of roads, depends on where you want to fish.

I’ve never fished it so I’m just looking at what resorts to check out that offer ice roads. Most of them don’t say a thing on their websites about ice roads

Acorn Hill/Brindley’s Harbor are already advertising roads and overnight houses. The new owners have put a lot of work into these 2 resorts, and it’s obvious with all the improvements they have made.

so how is that lake to fish on hardwater? I would think better than MLacs since there is less traffic. any night bite? I did one night out there out of trappers first ice and we only caught 4 inch perch.

I only fished it twice hard water and it was so, so we caught some fish but nothing crazy. I know a couple guys that do well at times out there, it is just nice to think you could keep some fish if you wanted vs hanging out on Mille Lacs.

Fished it 3 or four times. Try to make it for January full moon for sure. Has been 100% night bite for us. About the time you crawl into bed and shut off the lights, the rattle reels go off. Lots of eelpout. Usually 3 or four a night. 2/3 walleyes a night. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Some nice ones though. Boy got one for the wall a couple years ago there. Beautiful fish. Went out of trappers, but they weren’t allowing non guests use their road last year. I’d try Acorn Hill. He seems like a decent enough guy on FB.
