Leech Lake Crappies

Renting a place on Leech for opener and heading up Thursday morning. I plan on fishing for crappies Thursday and Friday as I have heard they can be found in decent numbers and above average size but have never fished it specifically for crappies. Wish me luck as I also hear they are hard to locate.

Anyone have any reports on how the bite has been? or has anyone been targeting them yet?

Hit it hard in boy bay half day Saturday, not a thing. Didn’t see any others with luck either. Scanned alot, went super shallow to the deeper stuff in the bay.

Good luck, when they’re in there it’s good, but it’s a very short window. Careful to the new regulations.
