There are a lot of options out there now. The main lake has 6″-12″ most places I have been, and the smaller lakes are in similar condition. Walker bay is to the point of careful exploration but ice is still quite variable. Be careful of areas with deeper snow, as the ice can be quite a bit thinner.
I have mainly been fishing shoreline breaks in 10-20 f.o.w. Mornings and evenings have showed the best bite. The bite has been okay but I’m ready to start venturing out with machines starting monday, hoping to find a more consistent day bite in the next week.
Cheers and hook-sets!
