so today 1/6/17 was fishing all morning long with no issues catching some dandy crappie and perch I find the honey hole once they started moving I drilled holes all around to find them I go back to my original hole and grab my sonar go to put the transducer in the hole and my screen as going haywire the transducer is making all types of noises and inadequate readings staying in the 20 ft range when the depth was 30ft touched the cord and it would return to normal for a min then back to it all over again transducer bad????

I’ve had that happen when my transducer had a bunch of ice on it but cleared up once I cleaned it off. Also a dying battery can cause them to do some wacky stuff too.

yesterday my battery died completely with no issues it just shut off and I was only a mile away from home so it charged right up but today I started fishing at 730 and by noon it acted up battery status was still in the 12v range
