I most often fish by myself. I’m either in the bow or the stern, so I really don’t have any use for the middle seat. Got me to thinking…..

I had a extra seat pedestal in the archives as well as some scrap lumber and hardware. So I built a seat sized table that plugs into the middle seat hole. It’s big enough to hold my bait box, a pair of pliers, a hand drying rag, and my coffee cup. DISCLAIMER: I don’t know anything about wood working and all I have are a few simple hand tools so this assembly is ugly. But it looks like it may be functional. What do you think?

Looks very functional to me Steve. I would add a cup/beverage holder to it. I think you had a great idea. waytogo

My coffee mug has a handle that fits snug right on the edge so I can just hang it anywhere. But yea, a cupholder would be an improvement.

The boat is a 1990 Lund Predator.

I can see it now,Rootski builds a cooler on a chair post with that table top hinged to it and sells the idea for a couple of million.
And we would never hear from him again lol

Nice work. I have often wondered why fishing boat companies don’t sell seat post accessories like this. Tables, rod holders, accessorie holder, etc etc I know there are som after market stuff but surprised Lund or whoever doesn’t make options like that.

Cool idea, could give it a paint job to match the boats interior and maybe some more drain holes.
