Some awesome shots as usual. That wood duck pic 5th from the top is amazing! Looks like you also got a few shots of the mysterious hose cat. Nice.

You have inspired me to put a camera up next year on our river crossing. I can’t wait as it is well used.

What type of trail camera do you use? The pictures are so clear. What type of bird is that taken on 11/19/2014 and 11/20/2014? Otherwise nice picture.

Pretty cool shots… my favorite is the Whooping Cranes. Very rare birds indeed. Thanks for posting. I enjoyed them

I use the entire line up of Covert cams. My favorites are the Red 40 and illuminator for pictures and the Outlook for videos.

The birds are whooping cranes and as I understand very rare as there are only 500 in the world. Heres a reply I got on those pictures ….

    Hi Pat,

John Brunjes of the Kentucky Department of Wildlife and Fisheries forwarded me your email about the Whooping Cranes you had on your property in mid November. Thank you for the report! The two birds in the photos are juvenile parent-reared female no. 19-14 and adult female no. 39-07. Male no. 7-07 was likely also with them, just not photographed. These three birds are currently at their wintering location in Lowndes County, Georgia, where they arrived on/by the 22nd of November. Juvenile no. 19-14 was hatched and reared in captivity at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Maryland by captive adult Whooping Cranes. She was then transferred to the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge in late September and released near adult breeding pairs. She joined nos. 7-07 and 39-07 about a week or so after being released.

You can find more information about the two adults at the following links:
    39-07: http://www.learner.org/jnorth/tm/crane/07/BandingCodes739.html
    7-07: http://www.learner.org/jnorth/tm/crane/07/BandingCodes707.html

I was also wondering if you might be able to provide some additional location information so I can get an accurate coordinate entered into our database.

Thanks again and feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

    Sincerely,
    Eva

They are … The big nontypical and myself have met twice so far its him 2 and me 0

Nov 6 I had him at 50 yards coming on a string only to be betrayed by a thermal.

Nov 13 he trotted across the field road in front of me in the dark as I drove in to hunt ..

The wide 9 (name temptation) actually took an arrow from a neighbor on Nov 2 (neck shot) Nice to see he’s still alive and hopefully learned his lesson and will stay put to be a giant next year as the boss has put him on the no-no list for this year and I wont hunt that farm as I cant promise if he stepped out I could stop myself from shooting him !
