Kimball, Colbert & the other guy. Does anybody think any of them are funny? I just don’t understand what people see in any of them.

If it wasn’t for Trump Kimball wouldn’t have anything to talk about.

They’ve got great ratings. 12 people watch them every night, that includes their mom.

All they have are the same CIA talking points that the rest of the cabal get.

When did late night TV turn so political? I can’t even stand the stuff on TV now.

I remember watching Carson, Letterman and Leno my entire childhood.

Maybe I was wearing rose colored sunglasses, but I don’t remember them having 90% political content???

SNL is still pretty funny. It’s just so many people get butthurt and take things personal when someone they support is mocked on TV.

Some of their political satire the past few years has nearly written itself (Biden licking ice cream, sniffing people, stumbling around confused….Trump’s tiny hands, made up words, lifts in his shoes to appear taller, Kamala’s obnoxious laugh and being thrust ahead of Biden, etc)

SNL needs more cowbell and less politics. Cannot escape it.

Any of the SNL’s with Shane Gillis or Nate Bargatze are must watch imo. The late night shows are just painful to watch, everything is so forced.

SNL is very funny at times, I have watched it for years since I was 10 years old (thanks older brother). Ankyroyd, Belushi, Chase, etc. that was the good old days.
SNL used to mock Clinton and Monica in the Oval office and nobody got mad like nowadays. Problem is now (post 2016), if anyone picks on POTUS, they get VERY upset and complain (like this thread) and dont see they pick on both sides.
If not your cup of tea, dont complain just simply turn the dam channel!

I used to like Cinemax late night but they killed that. It was like porn without having to see weiners.

Same here but funny thing is I used to like colbert when he first started. I also liked Conan and Ferguson when they were around but rarely watched TV that late.

    Gutfeld.
    Its humor
    Intended to be humor
    It’s political
The only thing remotely funny tv for those kinds of shows
    IMHO

I can’t believe any of them are still on. 20 years ago, with no streaming, less internet use, it was something to turn on if up late to keep you company. Kind of like how Cheers re-runs used to air after the Kare 11 10PM news. It was comforting. Few of the shows were ever laugh-out-loud, but it was something to have on and to learn about new comics, actors, bands, etc.

But today, I can’t believe anyone tunes in.

In the 90s, there would be jokes here and there about Clinton going to McDonalds or the Lewinsky thing. But it just part of the opening and that was it. But that was back in more innocent times before politics was part of everything like it is today.

I wish politics wasn’t apart of things like this as the reason you tune in is to escape all of that for an hour. And they are cheap, easy jokes. Much like comics whose only schtick is raunch.

Schmidt’s gay was one of the funniest sketches ever.

I can’t imagine watching SNL now. No one could top Chris Farley. It’s probably circling the drain just like all network tv.

I watch tv for entertainment, to hear they’re same old stale crap over and over makes for no reason to watch them. they’re like the View , just as dumb, but on later.

When you say “kimball” are you referring to Jimmy Kimmel? If so, I don’t like that crybaby establishment suck up very much.

Stephen Colbert can be funny but he’s also succumbed to TDS and establishment garbage.

Is the “other guy” Jimmy Fallon by chance? I don’t find him very funny either. More emotional and reactionary than anything and his presence on SNL back in the day was the same. Always breaking character.

You old folks are rubbing off on me. If I watch local tv it will be re-runs of the office. That show gives me a sense of comfort and is pretty funny to me. As long as it’s the Michael Scott(Steve carrell) episodes. After he left I lost interest. Anybody here ever watch the office? My dad can’t stand it. Maybe a generational thing.

I think kimmel and fallen are just hard to watch, not very funny, I don’t understand how they stay on tv.
As for the office, a ex lady friend of mine was in love with that show, I haven’t watched it in years. I started off by hating it, I only watched it because the lady was one fine lady and I did anything back then to hang out with her. I couldn’t even envision the show with out Steve carrell. Who replaced him ?

Yep, Kimmel, Kimball…I don’t watch him or know him so I really have no clue about his name. Wasn’t he one of those guys on the Man Show? Never much got into the office either. But, you could do worse than us old folks rubbing off on you. jester
