Hit a mid elevation lake this past Saturday for some late ice action…Figured with the grindy days i’ve had recently on the late ice, I would go here for some more thrills…Glad the GF and I made this choice because the action was great! We got our limit really quick and kept going after that! Another reason I’m glad we went is because I’m betting that reservoir is done for ice fishing until next winter.
Ice report: Mostly all the edges were open or slush for the first few feet. Near the boat ramp was fairly solid and we were able to get out fine. Made it to 2 feet of ice about 20-30 yards off shore. 2 other friendly anglers were there that day too and were crushing it over by the dam! They agreed as well the ice is probably done by the time i’m posting this.
