Late geese

Here I sit in the bow stand and the geese are pouring into the cut corn next to me would be a perfect night to be out there in snow camo. Unfortunately I can’t get permish to hunt that field, but I could pass shoot them as they come over my place going into the field…maybe tomorrow I will do that.

No, just a big talker I guess Venison taste better than goose so I sat in the bow stand and let the geese torture me They were still coming in to the field last night, but not near the numbers anymore. I can still slide south of highway 94 and hunt them thru the weekend…we’ll see.

Been a decent year for me around Rosemount Hastings area we only shot 160 which is way down from are normal years of about 300 a year. However took my son out almost every morning I hunted the golf course and he got to see some awesome hunts. As a 5 yr old he thought that was amazing.

My son Rob and his buds are still banging them pretty good around Rochester. Will see how many birds went south with 8 to 10 inchs of new snow there. No matter how bad a winter is they never all leave. At least a couple thousand stay all winter. Season is open there thru Jan. 4th in think.? … rrr

South of Hwy. 212 is open until the 2nd.

… Thanks DT for that. It is the 2nd around Rochester to. . In yrs. past Rochester has had some special late reason hunts. I hunted those Roch. Geese For over 50 yrs. I hardly ever get down there to hunt geese anymore. Just to many darn things to do here on pool 4 an the land around it. Fish Ducks Deer Turkeys etc etc. . Son Rob and a Bud hunted again today. He said from what can tell there were a lot of geese that left after the big snow. They did manage to shoot 4 so not a bad day at all. … rrr
