Two friends and I spent last week fishing Leech.

Monday and Tuesday, we found no walleyes, but sorted thru a mess of smaller perch in the weeds to pick up 8, 9 inch perch.
Same on Wens and Thursday….Pine pnt, Sand pnt, Mounds, stony, no walleyes…still lots of perch in the Narrows.
Finally on Friday we found 7 walleyes–all between 15 and 18 inches, 3 pike, trolling flicker shade at the Hardwoods.

We had a fun week….but froze our butts off Monday night.

Nice. I will be up there next wednesday-sunday for the 1st of my 2 fall leech trips. Hope the bite improves a bit.

The water temp should be lower, when you’re there, jig and minnow might work better than we experienced.
I think we should have trolled more with the Flicker Shads and jigged less, we would have caught more walleyes.
