Last Ice Trip 2025 Pool 10

    Ended up on pool 10 this weekend at a community hole that still had ice. Got away from the crowds as much as we could and came across some nice crappies. Tip downs and jigs. Also caught a nice bass that was released and some gills that are filleted in the freezer. Welcome spring, turkeys, morels, and walleyes!

    Yup. We walked out from the road to the island and went out as far as we could. Ice was good, but edges were sloppy.

    What area is pool 10 ? I don’t go south so I’m trying to envision it. And looks like a great day.

    BC it’s south of Lacrosse.Prairie du Chien is about in the middle of the pool.

    Kitty litter bucket is my buddies. He uses it for putting his rods and stuff in. We also use it Flathead fishing in the summer as the bait bucket, the trap door on the top is nice for keeping the bait from jumping out, just drilled a hole in it and feed the aerator tube through the top. Works good.

    Pool 10 runs from Lynxville, Wi/Harpers Ferry, Ia, down to the dam at Guttenberg, Ia.
