What belts do you use to carry a holster? I know any old belt would probably work fine, but doing some research I found that there are various belts that are designed mostly for carry purpose. 3 belts I’m looking at are the:

    Bigfoot Steel core belt
    Blade tech ultimate carry belt
    Kore Essentials Trakline belt

I like the idea of the click style belts. They seem like they would be really adjustable when either adding or removing a holster, or needing to adjust for comfort.

I currently only wear belts when wearing dress pants so a different belt is most likely going to be needed. I don’t think any of my current dress belts will work or look right when wearing jeans.

Looking forward to finding out what works best for all of you

I use a hanks gunner belt bought on amazon, has held up very well for me. Use a crossbreed supertuck holster with a glock 26. An ordinary everyday belt will not hold up to the weight from carrying, I tried it at first when I started carrying and did not like it, the weight was too much for the belt and it would end up curling over and putting pressure on my hip. Spend the money on a belt designed for carrying, you will be glad you did.

Galco Instructors or 5.11 Trainer. Stiff liner is key with a carry belt. I like the fabric belts, but that’s just preference. I wear my buckle offset due to appendix carrying, so a minimal buckle is key for me and these work great.

Just a heads up on belts or maybe “cheap belts”.

I bought a leather belt that’s 1.25″ wide from the close out section of Duluth Trading Company in Red Wing a little over a year ago. Sale price of $30.00.

Looked perfect for me…then I told my FW that I was losing weight because I ran out of holes in the belt to keep it tight…well she set me straight. “Your belt is stretching fat ass”.

Since then I’ve put 3 more holes in the belt to keep the G26 from falling to my knees like my…oh never mind.

Although I’ve had other leather belts, this is the first one to stretch.

I have Hanks & Magpul for dress type gunbelts. SOE 1.5″ duty belt with cobra buckle as well. The key with a gun belt is match the width of the belt to the clips or loops on your holster, make sure it’s stiff, and make sure it fits.
