The last couple weekends have been pretty good fishing in the Central Minnesota area. Last saturday met a buddy for a little evening fishing for crappies. Found some nice ones holding 12-14ft of water working the weeds. Caught them trolling about 1 mph with a small hair jig and small jigs with plastics with crappies minnow. Biggest was about 14inches and most were in the 11-12 inch range. After the sun went down we trolled weed edges and breaks for a little bit and caught three walleye using shad raps. Yesterday 6/18 got into a variety of fish on a different central Minnesota lake. All species of fish were holding in the weeds from 7-10ft. Ended keeping 9 walters. Caught some bonus bass. Northern, sunnies, and crappies throughout the day. Working gold spinners around 1.3mph with gleeche was working well. We caught everything doing this. A couple good outings lately now it’s off to Duluth tonight for some superior fishing tomorrow.
