Sounds like a great trip Mike. Are you going to get a replica of the walleye for your son?

    Hi Jim,
Yep, we will be adding another Lax replica to the walls of the Muskie Cave!

Your son will have a nice Christmas present coming, something he’ll remember the rest of his life.

Lac Seul does not disappoint . I fished it years ago on the Northeast side . Never set foot in a boat , caught all the walleyes i could eat. I was on a motorcycle and camped where ever i could . Those were the days .

Great report and sounds like a great trip. Anytime someone catches a “mounter” makes for a great trip but when it is a youngster it makes it an AWESOME trip. waytogo

Michael is this a camp and area you have been to in the recent past or was this a new location for you and the family?

I’d been to that part of the lake with friends at a different resort one time pre-pandemic. Then I went up to Scout Lake Resort with my family last year, and obviously returned there this year.
Last year was odd with the high, cold water. The water levels were right on average this year but I think a few weeks ahead of average due to warm water. Every year feels new!
