Does anyone have a 2020 Alumacraft classic 165CS, what is the largest helix that will fit on the dashboard protected by the windshield.

    Is it this setup?

Looks to me like a 10 may fit nicely, a 12 might get tight. However if you’re worried and don’t have access to them, I’d bring your rig to a place like Reeds or Scheels,(somewhere with actual customer service) and see if they will let you fit them on the boat in the parking lot. Obviously not fully mounting them, just placing the head units in place to see what you like.

Or possibly talk with your dealer and see what they have tried.

My buddy runs a Helix 10 on his 175cs and it fits fine.

Your dash is probably even better suited than mine ( Lund 1775 Impact 2019) from the looks of it
but I have a 12″ on my dash. To do it over again I would have put the 9″ on the dash and 12″ on the bow but I can still see okay

I just put a Helix 9 on the dash of my 2004 Alumacraft Magnum 175CS…It replaced a Humminbird 899, that was set up on a Johnny Ray mount…

The 899 would always have to be turned toward the left side of the console due to the locator hitting the windshield…

When I installed the Helix 9, there was no way the Johnny Ray mount would allow it to fit inside the windshield, so I switched over to a RAM mount…

Due to its ability to “shift/pivot”, there is now more than enough room for the Helix 9, and I believe I could even now fit a Helix 12 on the dash…

Check out the RAM mounts…You just may take care of your issue…
