Rangers are awesome nets, especially for the price.

My only gripe is the yoke has four “V” shaped grooves (two on each side) that are sharp and can/will shave and even cut your leader material.

I use a Dremel tool to file them down to a nice rounded edge.

I loved my ego slider rubber net, sadly it was lost in the river during s mishap between my son and I. I have been using a coated ranger net I really like but I need a longer handle.

EGO S2 Slider Large Rubber Landing Net. Like mine, has treated me well for 3 years now.

Those RS Nets are nice but very heavy unless they changed them from a few years ago.

I own 2 Ego Sliders, one with a rubber net and a larger size with a coated net, both work great, their customer service is top notch as well!

My RS net is 5 years old, great net but I agree heavy. You can however net a 40lb catfish or sturgeon and not have to worry the handle or yoke is going to bend or break off, unlike some other cheap crap out there.

Both Ranger nets and Cummings nets have come out with a Rubber feeling net but it isn’t heavy. I have had one on my Beckman frame for 2 years and love them. They do break down after about 2 years of use, but the bags are relatively cheap at around $20 to replace.
