Riverrat Posts: 1694 February 3, 2025 at 1:55 pm #2314942 We got nasty squirmy little lampreys naturally up here. In West Central MN we have chestnut lampreys they are yellow and spotted.

B-man Posts: 6344 February 3, 2025 at 2:08 pm #2314947 It looks like a Chestnut or Silver Lamprey, which are native. I caught a small mouth on the upper Croix with one attached before. They need current to breed (Yellow River runs through both lakes and is tied to the Croix) They got in most recently after our last ice age, but they’ve been on earth since before dinosaurs.
