Well, Last week has made me me pick up my toys and pack it in for the winter. I know this is when it really gets good….??? I have run out of patience this year on Lake Wisconsin. I agree with all of Joels comments.
I Caught more fish this fall in 8 to 13 then the 19 to 25 in past years. Gone to places that I count on and those I hardly go to with nothing to excite me. Even got more trolling in shallows as well this fall. Many shorts….too many. These were the last two decent fish I got last week. both were 18.5 and the sauger was so heavy It was strange, 4 spawn sacks and 2 shad, 4 minnows some crawfish in her stomach, that says, they are feeding somewhere. This is the first fall I was not able to get a Walleye over 24 in for the entire fall.

But I guess thats why they call it fishing and not catching.

I hope you all have better days and god willing we’ll see what next year brings. Stay Safe

Sounds like tough conditions all around. I guess the silver lining is that there will be a few more fish to go around for everyone next year.

Thanks for the report. I would imagine the higher water will make early season ice fishing a challenge as well.

It has been tough, but I’m not going to start screaming uncle yet. I will keep trying until the ice shows up. It can’t get a lot worse than it was on Saturday.

X2 on what others on here are saying.

I’m planning on hitting the river at the Dells and then hitting the lake just before ice up for my final trip or two. Last year conditions were quite similar. Not as bad as this year but that last trip of the year made up for a lot of bad ones.
