short outing Sunday

    Got on the water for about 2 hours on Sunday, late in the afternoon. My daughter wanted to go, so even though we didn’t have much time, I was happy to get out with her. We only managed a couple fish, both of which she caught. I didn’t catch anything. The sauger in the picture went 20.5″ and was released. Couldn’t have asked for nicer weather either.

    Nice sauger Imagine what that fish would have looked like full of eggs

    I didn’t catch anything… Nothing new here. We managed a couple of gills on waubesa. Slow…water still murky.

    They look kind of skinny right after spawning. I’m sure that same fish will look much, much fatter this fall.

    Looks like your daughter enjoyed the outing!
