Lakes info

I am going to be going to the Alexandria area in a few weeks and have never fished any of these lakes. I know there are a lot of lakes there and was wondering if anyone could help with good lake to take my wife and kids to. One that preferably would have a hotel or some kind of lodging near by. I was thinking lake Ida, any advice would help, thanks in advance. I will be targeting walleye & crappie. And perhaps a bonus pike off a tip up.

Viking Bay resort Lake Miltona is nice and reasonable price. The Lake has great fishing. Also, google Joe Segura – Joe Scegura’s Guide Service offers guided fishing trips across Central Minnesota, primarily on Alexandria area lakes and can give great advice.

I have a place on Miltona and the fishing is good near Viking Bay or Woodland resort.
