Finally got out to Blue Mesa to get after some Lakers. It was a convienence for me because I was coaching a game up in Gunnison that afternoon, so decided to get the GF out of bed and hit the first light bite before the game.
Glad we did! Lots of action, including breaking my PB 2x😀 toward the later part of the morning we even got some Browns to bite.
Everything was on the Sneak Attack Swimbait from Dynamic Lures, tipped with sucker meat. The Glow pattern caught all but 1 fish, and the motor oil pattern landed one. I sort of compare the motor oil pattern to watermelon red and green pumpkin combined. All fish marked and caught were between 70-82 feet with the most active bite coming around the 75 foot range. 12″ of solid ice and barely any wind, made for a good morning of fishing.
Hope you enjoy the video and pics!
