Here’s my favorite screen capture of the summer… so far. I took this one on my last trip to Lake Superior with Dave Koonce and Josh Appel. It was getting late in the day and we were basically trolling our way back to port when we came across this school of fish. I remember everyone in the boat huddled around the Garmin to oggle the massive marks…. then 2 rigger rods and a board rod hooked up resulting in two nice lakers in the boat. That thin line you see at 78 feet is one of the downrigger balls. I’m pretty sure that fish mark at that same level is one of the fish we hooked up on our first pass through. After we dealt with the fish from our first pass we spun around and hit another double as the sun was starting to get real low on the horizon putting an end to our trip. It was one heck of a way to end a great day with two good friends!
