Lakemaster Chip Update

    Just bought a boat and it had two chips with it. Can these be updated or do I need to purchase newest version of the chip?

    You cannot do anything to the chip ie, copy put on an updated chart or anything.
    If you do you will have to format the chip because there will not be anything that you could access. At least formatting will give you a “SD” card for use in general.

    Can’t you just use them the way they are?
