If I buy a Lowrance 2010 Lakemaster Pro Map Chip will I need to buy Lakemaster viewing software to see the maps on my computer or does the chip come with the software?

Lowrance had some emulators on their website you could download and if I recall I was able to get the chips to work with them. My new computer has windows 7 though and I couldn’t get any emulators to work and then switched to humminbird so not sure if that option still works.

now for looking at maps I bought an extra power cord for my 788 bird and connect it to my ice flasher battery so I can sit on the couch in the winter and scout areas and save way points for the next open water seaaon.

Mapping SD cards are for sonar/gps units only. Lakemaster did sell computer software as well. These are both separate items for separate units. Chips are a SD card, computer software is on a CD. Same data, just two different ways to view them.

When I search the supported units,
it no longer lists any Lowrance units
Not sure if choosing a Humminbird unit will help.

Yes, I did see that it was supported in 2010,
What I was trying to find was a link to the PC software he could use.
No luck for me with Lowrance unit as yet

I am wondering if one of the Unit emulators might work for this.

Thanks for the help guys. I hadn’t ice fished in the past 7 years and have done most of my open water fishing from shore the past few years. I don’t own a smart phone so Navionics isn’t an option currently. If and when I get a chip I’ll try the emulators.
