What are you now seeing? Open water? Anyone fishing? I have been limited to a wheelchair the last 13 months due to spinal injuries back in the 1980s and 1990s so I have been out of the loop. Thanks, Bill

Curious about this as well. Used to go down there with the boat for crappie spawn.

I’d like to get my dad’s old bones out there. Never know when it’s gonna be the last time!

    Tom? Bueller?

Bill, you have been on here a long time!! I believe you used to be on all the Mississippi river walleye forums. Is that right? Sorry to hear about your mobility issues. Would be cool if somebody here could get you out on a boat.

I use to run the Rochester forum, the walleye tournament forum and was very involved on posting on the general discussion forum. My severe asteoarthritus in my hands/fingers from over use put an end to my regular involvement in posting on the website.

The lake is open and I am assuming being fished. I’ve been gone a week and since I was gone the lake has returned to normal summer pool level after shooting upward about 14″ after the last rain/snow event we had.

No idea n water temps or clarity, but it shouldn’t be too bad right now. Of course a bit of heat would be nice but then we’re still early ala Lake Zumbro.

If it were me, I’d search the deeper water for suspended fish at maybe 10-12 feet. A jig/plastic drifted just over the mark’s noses or maybe jigging a smaller lipless bait while drifting or very slowly inching along would be my approach.
