I hooked up the boat and headed off to lake Wisconsin and on the way gave the folks a call at 9 am. to see if they wanted to go fishing before the storms came in. They said they just got up and would meet me at the landing at the grade. By time I got gas in the boat and got down to the landing they were at the grade all ready. We set up trolling by the islands using flicker and shad raos in about 5 to 9 feet of water at 1.5 mph for the day. Got one in-line board out and was setting the second one out and June said one flag was down and we had our 1st walleye on a number 8 shad rap. As the morning progressed it was a hot bite with some shorts and some slot fish and 4 keepers for the 2 1/2 hours of fishing ,when the thunder storms chased off the lake. Henry and June had enough for a couple of meals for the week and is always great getting the folks out walleye fishing for awhile.
