Anyone know if there is a hp restrictions on lake winona? I know it’s no wake but even if it’s restricted I can still take my boat on it and only use trolling motor and not be breaking any law couldn’t i? Boat has a 90 hp outboard. Nice small lake not far from home with walleye that I could do some short starter trips with my son to guage how he will do before going onto larger lakes. Maybe be able to catch his favorite fish too.

I can’t answer the HP limitation question but I do know it is a very good largemouth bass lake. If the walleye don’t cooperate you’ll have a fall back option.

Found there is a 10 hp max on the lake, have message in so when everyone gets back at work this week should have an answer from the source if your still legal if you just use trolling motor (can’t see why you wouldn’t be).

We drove by Sunday on the way to the in laws and I noticed there was an AIS inspector at one of the landings.

I got word back from Winona, they 10 ho restriction has been removed and they’ve gone with just the no wake limit on the whole lake. So you can run your boat if it has a larger motor, just no wake, so pretty much at idle. Though I’m thinking I won’t need anything more than the terrova on the lake really.
