    Hello All,

Making a trip up to Lake Winnipeg this weekend. We’ve accessed on Pruden Creek (not far from the mouth) before and wondering if anyone has any information as to the ice/access condition at the Pruden Creek area right now?

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like Prudens is blown in with snow and very difficult to access. Unless someone plows it out I would suggest accessing from a different location.

Have you been out there or know someone who has? Would a sled work, or still recommend another place? Thanks for the info!

Not trying to promote another site, but for information on Lake Winnipeg try manitobafishingforums. They have up to date information on the Lake, with separate pages for the east and west side. It sounds like Prudens would be fine for a sled and maybe alright for truck travel also.

I have not. Saw someone post it on facepage in the lake Winnipeg fishing group.

It’s sled only at prudens. Go the 8 km north to balsom and launch. Smooth as glass there. A group got hung badly with trucks last weekend. Took hours to get the last truck out.
