Heading up to Winnie for the first time in over 15 years. Gonna chase eyes and perch. Was wondering how the bite has been and any hints that you have. Not looking for your honey hole but would like to know what colors and depths are working. We’ll be fishing out of the NE side. Also might hit bowstring if we need a change of scenery.

I was up the last Saturday with the wife and kids and fished for probably only 6 hours. South end of the lake, 17 feet of water. Perch action was nonstop. Probably caught a hundred. Ended up keeping 20 from 9-10 inches. No true jumbos though. Minnows and plastics both worked equally well. We didn’t stay past dark because the kids had enough, but I bet we would have got into the walleye as well. Most of the non keeper perch were right around 8 inches so very few dinks.
