    Spending a few days over Thanksgiving at a resort on Lake Thompson. I know nothing about this lake and internet research has turned up very little. I plan on bringing a rod with me whether its a short rod or shore fishing. Anyone have any info on this lake? Bait shops in the area to give my business to? Thank you!

    Depending on the weather you might be dealing with some ice by Thanksgiving (hopefully). If the lake is not frozen the north end by the state ramp is good for shore fishing, the Bait Box in Lake Preston is usually pretty tuned into the bite up there and will point you in the right direction.
