Anyone used this launch before? Looks decent but I don’t want to get there and realize I can’t get the boat on.

Wife and I are looking for a quiet place to float this afternoon for a couple of hours….seems like a good spot.

My wife’s mom lived a few miles down the road. Susan is good but some times busy with locals. We have caught some nice fish out there

If you dont mind trolling around and not using the big motor then lake ann a few miles down the road is a awesome lake to play on. It’s a bass protected lake. We pull some monsters out of it and some really nice pike

Just looked at your spare mount online, wtf were they thinking?

My boat has the spare at a stupid spot too on trailer, but being it’s 25yrs old and looks like it went thru WW3 already I just drag that sucker. Surprised it hasn’t popped yet.

My 17.5 has a spare under the tongue to so I took that off instantly. The river would never let that work. But you have riley right there which is also a good lake within a 5 to ten minute drive

Yep, on Riley now. Surprised how quiet it is. Spare mount is coming off tonight….don’t get me started on the trailer steps. Don’t try and back in 90 with those….

Riley has some good sized pike in it. Go to the big point and toss out suckers under bobbers. Riley is always much quieter then Susan

Never took a rod out on this trip. Will next time, though. Surprised how few people were out there. Wife and I just floated around and had a couple drinks. Riley might become our local hangout lake since it’s only 20 minutes away. Nice launch and docks, too.

Site seeing wasn’t too bad at all…..

When Olivia’s mom was still in chan we would go there every couple weekends. Was always a good go to spot. We have done very well on everything besides walleyes there.

Weedline on the south side holds pike and walleye. I was out on O’Dowd in Shakopee last week and struck out except for some tiny bass. If the river doesn’t behave, I was thinking of heading to Riley.

There are no fish in the SW Metro, and you’re better off trying Bearcat’s neighborhood in the NE metro…(Now that I have that disclaimer out there) If anyone wants to try to catch a fish in these fishless lakes, just let me know as that’s in my backyard and I’d love to join you! rotflol

We will be out there again – there certainly seemed to be some spots worth it based upon the structure on Riley.

And btw, I already frequent the NE metro lakes. My folks are on Green in Chisago. I don’t discriminate on North versus South. I can get skunked on all of them.
