Hi I am planning to go on a trip to north Dakota this year and was wondering if anyone has ever fished that lake and was able to share some info.

    Check out nodakangler.com and fishingbuddy.com

We fished it back in the early 90’s quite a bit. BIG BIG lake. We fished it with a 17′ Alumacraft Trophy which was fine but a bigger boat would have been OK too. Pulled a lot of rigs and spinner baits/bottom bouncers back then. Also pulled a lot of crank baits as well. Check out the other two web sites and call the resorts on the lake for current info. Have fun!

If you stay on the south end near dam the tail races give you a option when the wind blows. Really nice state park near Pick City.

When are you going? I’ve fished it a lot and what part of the lake should be best depends on when you’re planning your trip.

i am not sure when exactly my brother just moved to Grassy Butte from wisconsin this fall so neither of us really know anything about that lake but i would like to give it a shot, something different than just fishing the same old lakes every year.

It’s been good more of a day bite than a night bite
