Get there at first light and leave by 10 if you want a decent chance of catching fish this time of year. I’ll be back in middle of September, not that it will help you now. I would drag crawlers to cover ground if I was forced to go there in the summer months. Ive had luck drop shot rigging crawlers on the Sconi side for perch in the past. Trolling seems to be productive if you are into that. whatever you decide, do it early before the S hits the F.
I would disagree with this. Went out for one hour last saturday around 3pm right before rain and during, picked up a 16″ on wisconsin side, rain started ran over to mn side, made one short pull using lead core and picked up a 24″ walleye. its gonna be good the next few days, mayflies are starting, after they put the feed bag on then they’ll shut down for a little while. lead core and shad raps, and flicker shads hard to beat!
