    Hi everyone,
I know this is kinda a long shot but I was hoping to find a Lakemaster paper map of lake osakis. Lakemaster quite making these a few years back and I would love to buy one for my cabin. Looking to see if anyone has one that would like to sell it.

    Let me know!

    Thanks

If nobody reaches out, I’d really think the General Store in Osakis could help you out.

You can buy paper maps but I am specifically looking for the lakemaster version. They are incredibly detailed and every piece of structure is labeled with I believe 2ft contours. My local bait shop in Sauk Centre has one on its wall and has been there forever.

Don’t get up that way often anymore, but Fletcher’s is one of the greats.

    Mike,

Take a picture of the one on the wall in Sauk Center with your phone and go to a printing place and have it printed and laminated.

Not sure what it cost’s but maybe take the picture of it and have an engraving done of it.

I’ve made my own in the past using Humminbird Contour Elite when I couldn’t find a good paper map. Zoom in tight to get the details and keep the zoom level the same throughout the process. Screenshot, move, screenshot, move, etc. then in Photoshop stitch everything together. Works well, however it was very tedious. This map took a while. (Like a month of pecking away at it here and there in my off times) You can see the full zoomed out original image as well as a tight screenshot from my phone.

You can find old lake maps of a lot of lakes in MN on the recreational compass/lakefinder tool. If you click the lake depths tap it usually gives you some options. I have downloaded these files and then edited/cropped them and gotten enlarged prints/posters made at office max or office depot. Buy a cheap ikea frame and you have a really nice piece to hang on the wall. Looks like they have an old map of Osakis on the website. For reference here is one of Kab I did for my house.

You lucked out on that PDF – Maybe they have nicer maps of the bigger lakes like Osakis and Kab, but I find most of those maps are just crappy scans.

Mike, pretty sure I have one in the map bag in my boat, but it is in storage, and I won’t be able to get until I bring it home this spring.

My local bait shop in Sauk Centre has one on its wall and has been there forever.

What about asking Denny Fletcher if you can borrow it. To make a copy. If it’s a big one, then ask the guys up at Kramer lumber (formerly Steiner’s) if they could print you a copy from their house plan printer.
    Worth a shot.
