Lake Okeechobee Florida

    I have a co-worker who is going to Lake Okeechobee in Florida in March and would like to get out with a guide and do some bass fishing for those lunker bass Okeechobee is famous for, anyone have any info or recommendations they can share?

    Did not know that you moved to Florida pug, but then again I am not on here as often as I use to be. Where is Lake Mary?

    Lake Mary is north of Orlando by about 20 minutes, a suburb. It’s a really nice area because we are close to everything and lake Mary is a clean, safe city. Been here a little over a year.

    I just wish we were a little closer to the intracoastal.

    Make sure he gets someone that guides there full time. There are statewide guide services that put people out there with someone who hasn’t been on the ‘O’ recently. The guy I was with last year kept texting with Mark Shepard, who I think is out there a lot. Tom Mann Jr also might be good.

    My guy from bassonline fished peacocks in Miami as much as anything. We caught some bass out of that Roland Martin marina, but I wasn’t overly impressed.

    I just mentioned Roland’s because its the only one I knew off the top of my head.

    Eustis, where Michael Ray is from. Haven’t been there, but we’ve been to Mount Dora just to the south. Pretty much the same city. It’s about 30 minutes from us.

    Brian Brown is a full time capt. On Kentucky Lake and also original from the Pequot lakes area.

    I’ve been to Florida…….I wouldn’t look for my return anytime soon. grin I have no friends so you needn’t worry about that. toast
