I am heading up to LOW in Sioux Narrows this week. Are there any particular colors of jigs and spinners that work best? I haven’t been up to Canada for many years, so any info that can be shared would be appreciated!

Any color will work as long as it’s gold.

Hammered nickel and gold for spinners are hard to beat.

Many jig colors can be hot at a given time. Chartreuse, Green, Gold, Pink……

That green UV color for Rapala crankbaits has always been a really good one, even Green UV jigging Raps has produced really well at times. It gets expensive fishing the jig raps in the rocks up there though!

A huge thanks! I am bringing my dad back up there. He started a twice yearly trip with his buddies in 1950. When I was old enough to wipe my own ass, He brought me up every summer until 86 when they banned camping on the islands. First trip back since then. We will be checking on the island we used to camp on 30 years ago! he is 85 now, and really excited. I am hoping a Chair is still there built out of the granite rocks. Looked like a throne!

No, we were fishing west of yellow girl in that body of water between the eastern and western peninsulas. I remember a Donald duck island. my maps are in storage so I don’t remember the name of that body of water. We have not fished much in whitefish bay for walleye just lakers
