Lake of the woods is booked

We booked a trip the first Sunday in February through Sportsman. It is the first time ice fishing for my buddy and my first time fishing LOTW.

If you could only bring 3 lures what would they be and what colors?

Also is it customary to tip the guys bringing you two and from your house?

I’ve had luck with other things up there, but those three things just plain work! I went through Arneson’s a couple years back and tipped our guy on the last day.

Red Buckshot, Gold Lindy Flyer and Shad colored Lindy Darter. And x2 on a red hook for the set line.

Vmc rattle spoon in firetiger uv, slender spoon in gold red tape, and a stop sign in glow red and gold back. Always caught fish with them, but of course you can’t catch fish that aren’t down there or if there in a negative mood, be sure to have a dead stick down with a live shiner or fathead about 2ft off bottom. We drove out, didn’t have to tip them but it would be a nice thing to do.

1/4 Orange buckshot, 1/8 gold/red slender spoon, plain hook.

We do. We tip them based on effort and service, not how well the fish are biting. Couple years back the fishing was slow. Not the guides fault, they worked their butts off trying to get us on fish.

That water is DARK. Go bright. Chartreuse, Gold for me. Leave the camera at home. Can’t see anyway.
