Lake Of The Woods Ice Thickness

    Does anyone know how much ice is on Lake Of The Woods im trying to decide when to bring the house up there

    I’m on the mailing list for Sportsmans and here’s there 12/30 report:

    Ice Report
    We have started our season! Day houses started Dec 28, Sleeper houses start today and Sportsman’s Oak Island Lodge will open tomorrow. Currently we have 8-11 inches of ice on the lake and 7-10 inches of ice on the bay where we travel and fish on the south shore.

    We fished out of Sportsmans last week. When we left on the 31st we had 10″ in one house and 8.5″ in a different house. Both 22′- 28′.

    12″ on the lake, less on the bay when we were up there yesterday.
    No driving Pick-ups yet.
    Best to check with your resort.

    Just came off the ice at 1430 this afternoon 10″ near the sable islands and its rough out there.
