Put my boat in the water for the summer at Kewaunee, Wi. We were pleasantly surprised by pretty good action despite the rain, wind and miserable fog. 50/50 kings and rainbows 120-180 fow fishing top 75′. Word around the dock is that it started mid week with some sporadic good days mixed in with some slow days. Kings running 12-16 lbs. Rainbows 3-12 lbs. Dodger flies for the kings and orange spoons for the rainbows. Great fun to have a king trip a down rigger and make that 1st long run. Nothing wrong with leaping rainbows either.

I was looking forward to my first trip of the year this past Friday. Drove over to Milwaukee and found the NE wind to be quite a bit stronger that the weather man had said it would be. Local captain said the waves were running 3-5 feet. My crew had no interest in going out in that kind of weather so back home we went.
Next opportunity for me could be over the 4th of July.

Congrats on a successful first trip!
